I was born in the Windswept Plateau during a most viscous winter. The plateau was blanketed in snow and the air was devastatingly chilled. Your lungs would sting with every breath - conversation was not an outdoor affair to be certain. During this time I learned many things and one big one was about my father.

Please allow me to explain. When I was a child and to this day I am a happy and pretty well adjusted young dragon. My family being affluent and widely revered throughout Sornieth made for a childhood of wealth and privilege; no dragon would complain about. I never knew my father and mother never wanted to talk about it. When I was accepted into the Archaeology programme at Aerewyn University my mother had quite a lot to tell me.

My mother never understood my fascination with digging up relics and bones of long forgotten and ancient species of dragons. It now makes sense why I always felt a deep chill from her when I would tell her about my dream. I have times where I will muse about what being a famous archaeologist would be like. I dream of working side by side with Madrugada and her team, someday. My mother claimed she never knew his true name, all she found out was he was a professor and archaeologist at Aerewyn University. Their brief affair came about during a very unsure time in my mother's life. My mother was confused about so many things and quite uncertain about her path. She didn't have a mate and her family was going to pick one for her. More than she could bear, at the urging of very close friends she decided to take the lengthy trip to the Fortress of Ends (Southern Icefields). When she began her journey during spring for the Icefields.

Now one might think such disgrace would bare negatively for my mother's family. Everything was kept quiet and mother was whisked away when I was born, along with my brother and sister. I do not know them and I want to see them, meet them and bond like siblings should. We were all separated at birth. I was sent with my mother, my sister to a relative in a close sister clan. Hmph! My brother was sent to live with our father.

I don't know very much information and getting answers is somewhat difficult when no one will talk about "the time", it seems so senseless to me but it is the way things are and they will not change.

The night before I was to leave for the university mother wanted to have a talk. She wanted to know about where I was going and my studies pretty generic conversation. One difference I noted is she seemed to be truly interested in what was happening in my life, for the first time in her life.

She began innocently enough. Where I would stay; what classes I was taking but the biggest question of all was did I know who my professors were going to be. I was a bit puzzled and I must of had a raised eyebrow or grimace on my face. I wanted to know why she was so interested all of a sudden, as this was not like her at all. So she began with you were born .... by the time she finnished telling me my father was a professor at the college I was going to attend and worst of all - he is an Archeologist!

"Honestly Mother" you are choosing to tell me all about my father, NOW of all times? You could have told me this a long time ago. I am getting ready to leave tomorrow morning and you decide to spill your guts all over the place tonight. How dare you! What in the name of Windsinger are you thinking?"

"Well" she stammered to find an answer where there was none. This was the extent of that conversation. As a result, I have not spoken to my mother in quite some time. I hear things of her social activities and functions for her charity work. No word from her however.

This day is emblazoned in my memory and I will never forgive her for the deceit and lies she has told me all of my life. She didn't know him it was just a tryst and not a moment of great pride for her. Come to find out she does know him and he is an archaeologist. More importantly he is on one of the largest and highly revered team led by my role model, Madrugada.

I began making inquiries around the University in hopes of finding where he was in the department. Yes, it is deliberate in hopes I may meet my father or even my brother. I have yet to uncover where my sister went and the trail is so cold it s a difficult task to track her whereabouts.

I have decided to contact the Aerewyn Gazette and place a notice seeking information in hopes of finding answers. Questions I have posed to my mother for years met by deafening silence. The most I know is in the ad I have inquired to post. It will begin once I arrive for my orientation and dormitory assignment. I am a very strong student and also a very stubborn dragon when I want to know something. My mother I think is happy I am moving to another clan here in the plateau. It really isn't very far away, but enough to warrant being in the dormitory housing.

Hello: I would like to place the following in your weekly Gazette for one month please. I have enclosed the treasure amount you requested. I do appreciate all of your help!


I am seeking much needed information regarding my siblings and/or father. I have been accepted in the University and will be arriving shortly to begin classes. I have been told I have a brother and a sister somewhere in Sornieth. You see we were triplets. Never knew what really happened - although trying to find them or our father has been a most daunting task. I understand from my mother he was a professor here and an Archaeologist. He may still be here; I do not know. If there is anyone with information to help me with my quest you may reach me at the University in one moon. I will be settling into the dormitory just before classes begin. Anonymity will be kept and I will not divulge any information anyone who comes forward to help.
