Biography

THE BLIND MAGE


Moonstrike grew up in a small clan where practicing magic was generally frowned upon. Despite what his friends and family thought of the subject, Moonstrike began practicing anyway. Due to a spell gone wrong, small gems and smoke began to manifest on his body, and his tail began to glow. When his clan found out he was practicing magic, he was casted out.


Wandering the Starfall Isles, he came across a powerful mage called Newblet. She was a kindhearted soul who travelled the lands with her familiar, a Depin. She and Moonstrike became friends soon after their meeting, and he asked her to mentor him; to which she agreed. Moonstrike learned many new spells under Newblet's guidance, and became a powerful mage as well.


One day, Moonstrike and his mentor were doing some research in the Tangled Wood. Moonstrike had accidentally broken a strange lantern in a shrine, and found himself to be blinded soon after... it took him a while to get used to his lack of sight, but he eventually adjusted. He had then unwittingly come across a Storm Seeker, which he befriended. This Storm Seeker now guides him if it's needed.


Moonstrike soon began to fall into madness. It's been speculated by his companions that it could be a side effect of his curse, but it's truly unknown what caused him to go mad. Looking directly into his eyes, however, causes one great headaches...
