Keket is an Egyptian goddess, also called raiser up of the night, one of the primordial deities worshipped in Hermopolis.
She is said to own the head of a snake, holding two knives and a crown in her hands. Keket is connected with the light and the sun, though she has a sun disc on her head and sometimes praying near the solar barque. This is where she met Re, the sun god. Even though Keket is married to Kek, another primordial god of Hermopolis, the raiser up of the light, she had a little crush at Re. Since Kek is a quite and introverted person, she felt very attracted to the shining god of the sun.

Keket is a very warm-hearted and kind woman. She likes to enjoy the sun, go on long walks and to explore new things. Keket likes to dance and to drink with other deities. At parties she likes to flirt with men, drive them crazy and then let drop them like a hot potato. Even though it does not look like it, she really loves her husband Kek. But since he is always living in the dark, while she enjoyes the sun and the people, they do fight quite often. Keket tries to get her husband out of his isolation, so she can spend more time with him. This might be the reason why she is always telling Kek, that she flirted with another god even though she knows that he is very jealous.
But with Re Keket went a bit too far and even received a child of him what is the reason why Kek hates the god of the sun...
