Seven has peculiar abilities, as noted by Victor on many an occasion. He doesn’t have more than one ability, like most of the children in the company, but his ability is exceptionally powerful. Seven sees all. He is omniscient. Anywhere he decides to look, he simply can. He can’t look into the past or future, though; he can only see what’s happening in the present. Even this, as an ability, is much more powerful than most of the children Victor has modified. It does come at a price, though; his mind is constantly occupied by the incessant whispers of thousands of nameless souls, whispering and watching and telling him things. Sometimes they can be helpful, but other times they can be hurtful, confusing, or even cruel. He’s haunted by them. He likes to believe that they’re the minds of the mindless, come to take refuge in his mind because they cannot inhabit their own. He knows there are many, some meaner than others, but he has made friends with a few of them. They help keep him company in the endless expanse of his mind, where he spends most of his time. Seven isn’t too good with people, as he has mildly severe Dysarthria and was bullied for it a lot by the meaner children. It gave him bad social anxiety, and as a result he tends to stay away from actual people in favor of the voices in his head, who he can speak to without being afraid of his speech impairment. Victor considers him to be an invaluable asset, but one that is too broken to use. He’s tried to fix his Dysarthria many times, but it never worked, so he’s simply accepted that Seven is simply a broken device. He leaves him to speak to the voices in his head, and Seven is happy with that. He simply sits, happier to be within the walls of his mind than to be in the real world.
