The creature had once spawned stories of vengeful leviathans that tipped over ships and ate those stranded at sea. Her body was long and banded in the dark blues and blacks of the deep ocean. Life had been slow, placid, and mostly uneventful for the solitary dragon; when it ended she let her light go out in one of the deep crevasses so her body could rest undisturbed forever. Unfortunately for that plan, Rusalka had a different idea. Tired of just being a shadow sprite with few powers and no ability to influence those in the physical world, she decided she would find herself a vessel for some fun. Wanting to be big, impressive, and unbeatable (in case her pranks rubbed someone the wrong way), the little energy being searched the world and found the preserved body of the leviathan in the coldest trench in the Sea. While Rusalka looks like the dragon creature she inhabits, her personality and tendencies are still those of a mischievous eternal being. Easily bored, she constantly is on the prowl for new entertainment. For a while it was enough to scare the dickens out of anyone who saw her unexpectedly in the waters, but that soon palled. In searching for a place where she could belong, and have a lot of fun, Rusalka found Chaotic Daydreams. Other spirits in dragon form, many dragons who didn't start out as dragons, and others who were different in many ways... all of these were entertaining as well as welcoming. While Rusalka would still rather be playing pranks and having fun affecting the physical world, she does care for her lair mates and is quite happy to help guard the deep water parts of the lair. Her favorite part of the latter is scaring off any would-be intruders. Hopefully that will be enough to keep her out of any new troubles... for a while. |
