Biography

They should have kept a closer eye on her. Fae dragons were naturally intelligent, Hurriya was patient and a child of the Plaguebringer, it was only a matter of time before she slipped her bindings. One mistake, one opening, that's all she needed. And then she was free. The fae ran, no rest or pause for days, evading pursuers as she proved her eyes weren't just for show. She knew she couldn't keep up her flight forever, either she would be caught once more, or the wastes would take her. But that didn't mean Hurriya wouldn't keep pushing herself, to get as far as she could. Perhaps If she was lucky she'd reach the lands of her creator. But that wasn't to be. The exhaustion caught up with her, the strain too much on her tiny fae body, and she plummeted from the sky. She fell into the great cauldron, and through luck or perhaps the mother's blessing, she lived. She was fished from the cauldron by a Skydancer and Bogsneak duo, and awoke to the sound of raised voices, not that she could make anything out. Her head was pounding, and all she could see through cracked eyes was two caramel coloured blobs and smaller, multicoloured blobs. The smell of angry Mirror was overwhelming, and on instinct she tried to scramble away, but was soothed by a smell she wasn't expecting. Skydancer. The smell of mirror was soon over powered by Skydancer, and it was only further repressed by the smell of enraged bogsneak. Soon she could make out the scrambling of claws on stone and the smell of rage subsiding, before she fell back to oblivion. In the coming weeks she learned her saviours to be the Pathogenocyte Reapers, Primarch and Soul, and discovered what her brief time in the wyrmwound had done. No longer was she a fae, but an Aberration, one of the Plaguebringer's elder children. In the years that followed, in thanks for sponsoring and protecting her, Hurriya accompanied Primarch on business trips, minding the hatchling he had shared custody of. On one of those trips, she saw a familiar face, an old acquaintance, who's shared experience kindled a friendship and sisterhood in a way only shared trauma could. From the ashes of who she once had been, did Hurriya rise again. | ___ |
