Imber walked too far into the depths and returned half of what he once was, but also more whole than anyone had ever been.
For something filled the void. Or perhaps the void was the filling..?
One cannot tell or remember.

In his dreams he sees people and places he tries to recall but are just too far out of reach.
If he dwells on them too long, like in the depths, he drowns.

He doesn't have many memories, but what he does have is the strange skill to call upon shadows to bend things to his will.
Imber does not remember when he had such an affinity for dark magic, but it comes naturally to him like blinking or breathing.
He's a valuable ally to have in any battle, and also a brilliant tactician.
