Lumine knew he was trans very early on, and was very unsafe being himself in his birth clan. So he left as soon as he could fly, and was adopted into a travelling group of very dangerous dragons, who treated him horribly. After escaping the abuse of those dragons, he was in even worse shape emotionally than he was back in his birth clan. His suffering was so great, he was just about ready to give up on life until one day, he met Usagi. She fed him, so he traveled with her for some time, but was always very wary and never trusted her. Her cheerful, hopeful demeanor annoyed him to no end, until one night, she opened up about her own trauma. Lumine was astounded, and suddenly understood why she was so optimistic all the time, and was no longer so bothered by her optimism. So with Usagi's guidance, lots of patience and love, Lumine is slowly healing from everything he's been through, and learning how to trust and love again. He considers her his older sister, as shes always by his side, speaking for him when words wont come out, or helping him through a breakdown. Ever since coming to the lair, Lumine, too, has expanded his talents and found his love for music and fashion. He and Usagi often will sew and dress up together, looking absolutely adorable in matching outfits. He's picked up the guitar and ukulele, and can often be found in his cozy, plant-covered lair strumming out a relaxing song. Since coming to the lair, Lumine has actually opened up enough to make a few friends, Cookie and Daquoise. The three are a silly bunch, and are often seen goofing around the lair, playing pretend or stealing pastries from Chai. With them, Lumine gets to live out the childhood he missed out on growing up.
