"Do you hear it? The sound of the energy around us? Within us?"

Archimedes' first memory was that of solitude, within the pink crystalline landscape in the Crystalspine Reaches. This was a place he would go on to revisit at many other times, most often on his travels and adventures, sometimes in search of new discoveries or places that he had not discovered the last time. His childhood was lonely. He did not know how many years had gone by in that crystalline wilderness, but it was long enough to know most cracks and crevices by name. Or, at least, what he named them. He even named himself, putting together sounds until they felt like something that suited him.

However, there was one constant through Archimedes' life, even back in those lonely days. It was magic. He never really knew what it was, except that it could change reality in ways he could not understand. Not yet, anyways. When approaching the woodland creatures that he seldom found, they would either run away in terror or become very happy to see him . There was something about magic that made Archimedes feel like he was part of a greater whole, as if he were a part of an ever-growing network of magic. And so, he began to experiment with it.

Of course, it wasn't easy at first. He was a very weak hatchling, and would often become drained from basic attempts to control the strange energies around him. It was not uncommon for him to lose control over his magic, causing him to be completely overwhelmed. Thankfully, as time went on, the strength of his body and the amount of energy he could store increased significantly. With practice and continued experimentation, Archimedes' magic quickly improved, and he could control it to a level where it would no longer drain him of his energy and make him a walking corpse. And so, one day, Archimedes decided to venture beyond the boundaries of his home, into the unknown. He set off with a small bag, filled with the supplies he could find, looking for some new place to call home..
