Appearance:
Personality: Barney would be described as constantly worried. He’s always scared of something happening to him, which is understandable considering the many traumatizing events he’s been through. His worry and traumatizing encounters have also led him to be skittish and easily startled. He’s always praying and hoping that maybe he’ll get some relief from his hard life, at least a little bit. Yet despite all that, Barney continues to blindly follow orders, no matter how strange or life threatening, like chopping off someone’s hand or startling a dangerous kobold. Even with the many strange events in his life Barney can’t help but wonder why everything that happens to him does, and he can’t stop regretting that he didn’t listen to his mother.

   Barney is the unfortunate deckhand that didn't want much in life, yet found himself swept away onto a pirate ship, separated from his brothers. Anything and everything that is mildly unfortunate, like slipping on the decks, losing his belongings, or even getting cursed by a ring that makes one drool for flan are just a few types of things that plague him night and day. And since there isn't really anyone to blame for these events, Barney can only attribute his terrible luck to the supernatural. Thus any small rituals to help him avoid such things, he partakes in. He always has a salt jar by his waist, ready to throw the seasoning over his shoulders, multiple rabbit's feet and chicken wishbones. Unfortunately, the ship he is on also has women aboard, so he lives in constant fear for one day the ocean might just try to eat them up.
