___Duneberry Pie Bowl • Plants
A simple, sweet dish with shockingly good flavor and locally sourced ingredients. For the crust, first prepare a bowl-sized cactus by removing the spines. Scoop out the middle and fully blend a bit of Cinnamon and several spoonfuls of crushed Honeycomb (to taste) into the pulp. Then add some of the mixture back into the cactus shell, making sure to coat the inside evenly.
To create the filling, first grind four spoonfuls of Almonds and a small bunch of Prickleaf into fine pieces before mixing in three scoops of Honeycomb. After the ingredients have been thoroughly blended, combine the mixture with a generous helping of pitted Duneberries. Pour this filling into the cactus, then top with as much remaining cactus crust as you can fit in the bowl. Refrigerate until chilled.

*Note: This recipe can be repurposed for cacti of any shape and the variety of cactus bowls makes this an entertaining yet easy to prepare option for any event. Additionally, any leftover cactus crust can be used for extra appetizers... or as a snack for the chef.
