Frostbite had a rough start in his life. As a hatchling he was part of a nomadic group of Mirrors, who lived only to hunt and feed. The clan was ruled by the largest mirror and he ruled with an iron fist. Only the strongest survived within his clan, there was no room for weakness. Frostbite only survived because his mother watched out for all of his siblings. He was the smallest of his siblings, so without her, he never would have survived.

As he grew, he began to wonder if there was any need for the senseless violence and hostility the clan constantly exuded. The cloud of rage which surrounded them didn't seem necessary to the youngling. He decided to voice his opinions to some of the members of the clan one day and was instantly hushed by the others, but they were too late. leader, Maximilian, overheard these comments and assumed they were mutinous words. Maximilian loomed over Frostbite and growled deeply asking Frostbite about what he had said.

Frostbite, being young and naive, truly believed his leader was interested in what he had to say, so he went into detail about everything he found wrong with the clan. As he spoke, Maximilian's scowl grew deeper, and deeper until finally he let out a roar and pinned Frostbite to the ground. "When you run the clan, you can change things, but until then I MAKE THE RULES!". Frostbite tried get up, but Maximilian set other members of the clan onto Frostbite before he could retaliate. Frostbite laid there in the snow, cold, alone, injured. The clan had moved on shortly after his punishment and abandoned Frostbite to freeze.

Frostbite laid in the snow for hours. His body felt weak, but his heart burned brightly. Eventually he dragged himself in to a cave, where he took shelter from the harsh winds and the biting snow. Slowly he recovered his strength and, using the shelter he originally rested in, began to build an inn. When the inn was complete he took two vows.

Number one: He would never turn away a dragon in need. He had been left in the cold once before. He was hungry, alone and chilled to the bone, he would never wish that fate upon someone else!

Number two: If an issue could be resolved peacefully then it would be. Frostbite knew in his heart that the old clan leader was wrong. He had been beaten, bashed and bruised, but he didn't let that experience change his mind! He knew in his heart that only through peace could all of dragonkind ever truly thrive.

Over the years, he had more dragons join the inn, (but he always viewed them as family) and so it grew and grew and grew. He developed a reputation for being kind and benevolent despite his tough beginnings. Many leave the inn praising Frostbite for his joyful spirit and welcoming attitude, eager to return again one day. So if you ever get lost in the snow don't fret! Frostbite will always have a warm place for you to stay and recover your strength, and you will always leave with a new friend.
