Aventurine was born in a small enclave of Nature territory, where dragons of a crystalline structure often group together. A large cave, filled with flowering vines and glowing crystals- a far cry from the cold winter storms that often roared outside the cavernous walls, at the time. Aventurine, from birth, had a coveted ability- clairvoyance. A gift- from the Gladekeeper, some assumed- to see into the future, or futures, and to perceive things of the metaphysical nature easily. Her parents were immensely proud of her for having these abilities, but they were equally terrified of their delicate hatchling's powers. As a hatchling, however, she could not differ dragons from spirits from time to time, and she could often be found having conversations with something- or someone- others could not see.

As Aventurine aged, she decided for herself that, perhaps it would be best to focus on expanding her abilities. And, unfortunately, the cave she called home was too crowded, too disapproving of her to give her the time she needed, too 'busy' spare her from unnecessary teasing. And so, one lonely winter eve, she set out to find a new place for herself. Of course, the journey away from the only home she had ever known was not easy. But, there were some upsides. For one, Aventurine had complete and total freedom of where she went, which was very different from life in the caves, where she had memorized every path there was to take. She took in all of the sights that she could.. and she was happy. After she had traveled a bit, Aventurine realized that she needed to do less sightseeing, and more home-seeking. One morning, as she awoke from her temporary nest, she noticed a group of dragons, conversing with each other in the distance. Could this be her new home?
