When Moonborn was a young dragon hatchling she did her best to bond with her siblings and her parents, but due to her strange illness she was never accepted by them. Her skin was molting off in clumps, her wings turned into shredded tatters that hung uncomfortably, she herself was too weak to talk or stand from the pain. When the strange scales began to grow in place of her lost flesh she knew her family would never understand and she decided to leave.

Moonborn traveled for days and nights as she grew quickly, through the festival known as Night of Nocturne to the dragons she avoided crowded places, twisting and weaving through tangled forest, ancient ruins, and poisoned land she found herself fearing the worst for her future. She worried of what was becoming of her once beautiful scales when she stumbled into the darkest region of the continent and camped wishing to rest. Upon morning, Moon found a small gathering of fireflies had taken to her and followed the young dragon through the rest of her journey.

When she came upon the Windsinger’s territory she grew weary, ancient dark cloth and twisting brambles covered her body and a stone halo sat glowing behind her horns while most of her body grew back she still feared whatever illness had taken to her since hatching. She came across a dragon by the name of Froxen, a fae who was the leader of a local clan. Upon arriving Moonborn found herself at home with many other exiled Wildclaw and Tundra, those who had gone from clan to clan and those who had been born into the clan itself welcomed her. Though she still fears what she carries she no longer feels afraid to be with her family.

Though shy and quiet, Moonborn loves to stay close to Pond, a much larger but friendly Wildclaw who suffers a strange yet beautiful illness himself which causes him to bloom in a different way but not unlike Moonborn. With the help of Moss and Ascan it was deciphered that she suffered a condition known as Weaving Ivy, which only affects a small population of female Wildclaw during shadowed holidays.

Knowing that what affected her was far too rare to spread and came only through genetic mishap Moon became a social butterfly. She became close with everyone, she played with the hatchlings, became the friendliest dragon in the entire clan alongside the ancient Finale. With the newfound happiness came a new home which she adored, allowing Moonborn to bloom like she never had before.

Wanting the most out of life she plans to raise a nest one day, hoping her curse won’t spread, but hoping as well that one day she can share her love for life and home with the young ones she knows she’ll have one day. Even if she is unable to fly her spirit will always soar.
