Where he Was

Awaken.
It was a quiet night that Redael found himself first awakened. He heard a voice, but had no idea from where it came. Was it in his head? He shook it, getting up. Everything hurt to move, but with a bold determination, he forced his body into an upright position. He could focus on only two things. His name, and his most recent memory.
You fell.
Well, he knew that. He had fallen somehow. From where, he barely knew. Something called the Celestial Plane? That was what his mind immediately conjured. He hadn't the faintest clue as to why he fell, or even how, but suddenly, he had bigger problems to worry about. He heard a quickened sound, like footsteps, headed his way.
"Hey, are you okay?"
It was a voice. A female voice. Someone knew he was here. Every instinct he had told him to flee when he saw her, but for some reason, he didn't.
"We thought you were a comet." The voice admitted. Redael shook his head. That was all he could do. "You don't look too good. Why don't you spend the night? Our medic will take care of you."

Where he Is
"This place is pure insanity, but the good kind."

"Hey, Red!"
It was Siarla, the dragon who had found Redael. It was three months after he had been found. She was always calling him Red now, even if he disproved. Still, he turned to face her, not knowing entirely what to expect. Would it be a cake to the face, or a pleasant surprise? It was always hard to tell with her.
"I found some information."
Siarla was always searching for information, for spells to return his memories, and maybe even get him back home. Redael didn't stop her, but he had given up most hope at this point. No spell was working. Nothing could be done to help him restore his memories. Still, he entertained her delusions.
"Oh, yeah? What have you got?"
She showed him a book. It was written in a language he knew to be that of the angels, though he couldn't quite place a name to it. It looked old and battered, but Redael knew better than to dismiss it based on that alone.
"I think this might finally get you home."

Where From Here
"Hope is a finite resource, used only by the foolish. Such as myself."
light.png
lightv2.png
"Quiet, child
This is all meant to be. What happens, happens. There is no changing that. Your future is set, as it was millennia before you were even a possibility. You are a mere cog in a machine greater than yourself. Do not forget this. It is the single most important piece of information that I have given to you.
You cannot begin to even fathom them,
But you must know you are meant for great things. You will stop an evil greater than yourself, than all of your kind. You are meant to be a hero. All hero's must sacrifice. Yours has been greater than you can even imagine, but it will all be worth it in the end. I promise you.
Rest, now, sweet child,
For tomorrow is a new day. You will see new victories then, new life, and new love. Do not fail me, my wonderful child. Your destiny is at stake here. Your loving mother eagerly awaits your triumphant return to the Celestial Plane."

Friends
"A good friend takes away the delusions and replaces them with facts."

Siarla
Redael's longest friend. Siarla is dedicated to finding an answer as to why he has no memory, and why he got here. She spends hours each day reading and researching to find a clue, even when he has given up completely. She refuses to rest until she can be sure that she did everything in her power to help her friend.
Despite this dedication, their relationship can still be rocky at times. Siarla is a joker. She loves to mess with the people around her. She enjoys playing pranks and overall keeping everyone on their toes. This makes her rather popular with the hatchlings, as one might expect. She is rather unpredictable in this way. It is said that not even she herself knows her next move.
Siarla has acted as a mentor for Redael. Everything he knows about dragon culture stems from her. She is loyal until the very end, stubborn to a fault, and a fun person to be around. Redael considers her to be his best friend, and loves her like a sister.

Eurydice
Eurydice is the only other dragon lacking memories, a commonality that the two dragons share remorsefully. Interactions between them is interesting to say the least. Eurydice prefers to ignore her lack of memory, while Redael accepts it, making the two contrast in some ways. Still, they've found comfort in each other, knowing that they aren't alone.
The pair can sometimes be seen on short flights together. Eurydice especially enjoys flying over the Starfall Isles, near the cave, while Redael likes to explore. Had these two not been apart of the same clan, it is unlikely that they would have been friends.
Eurydice is a kind soul, who is easily pushed around and has no concept of the word no. She trusts her Orpheus, a man she barely even remembers, above everyone else. Break this illusion, and you risk shattering everything she's built herself up to be. It is needless, then, to say, the illusion is constantly reinforced. Redael does not agree with this, and avoids talking of this "Orpheus" altogether.

Saturejen
Saturejen is a strange creature, one that Redael has never been able to accurately pin down. He calls himself "The Naga", and keeps a Flamescale Venomcaster, for some reason. Redael has never been able to figure this out, and has no hope of doing so. Still, Saturejen provides nice conversation, much-needed support, and kind words.
The two can sometimes be found exploring together, though it is rare. They bond over a love of the stars. In fact, it was Saturejen who first saw Redael, who he believed to be a comet. For this reason, Redael can credit both him and Siarla for finding him.
Saturejen is very in tune with nature, and takes the Gladekeeper very seriously. Redael has no idea why he doesn't live in a clan that worships her, but is afraid to ask this question. The lengthy response may not be worth it.
lighttop.png
Enemies
"I don't like to think of them as enemies, just as unfriendish."
lightshieldr.png
Zyre
Zyre carries himself with a smug satisfaction easy to annoy anyone with. He looks down upon Redael, and the Wildclaw has never been able to figure out why. They had never had a falling out, or even so much as a disagreement. They just dislike each other immensely.
Redael believes it may be due to his friendship with Saturejen. Zyre had never liked the Spiral much, and perhaps he was taking that out on Redael. Still, that is just speculation, and completely unconfirmed. Saturejen, at least, seems to be neutral on the topic of Zyre.
The Skydancer has a proud demeanour, especially after he's returned from a successful hunt. His arrogance upsets Redael, who truly believes that the two of them could have been friends in another life.

Winter
Winter is what one may describe as the "strong and silent" type. He talks to exactly one dragon, and that is his mate, Secret. Redael is virtually certain that it has nothing to do with him, but cannot help feeling self-conscious when every attempt at conversation is brushed aside.
Redael tries not to take Winter's coldness personally. After all, he is named for the coldest season, his icy demeanour cannot be his fault. And, even more so his mate is literally named for secrets. The combo seems perfect for one another, but able to raise unease and distrust for everyone else.
Secret has tried time and time again to get Winter to make more friends, especially with the very open and friendly Redael, but it just won't happen. Winter is not one to talk to anyone, for any reason.
lightmid.png
lightshieldr.png
Blaire
In the fight between Redael and Zyre, Blaire seems to have taken Zyre's side. She is often cold towards Redael, refusing to acknowledge him. He does not think it to be anything personal, just her sticking by her friend and hunting partner, which he can respect. It still hurts, however.
In private, Blaire can be fun and caring. When he needs someone, Blaire will not hesitate to be there for anyone, not even those she seems to have an unexplained feud either such as Redael. He believes her to be a kind and loving soul, just corrupted by whatever lies Zyre has been feeding her.
Blaire has few things to say to most people who aren't on the hunting party. She speaks mostly to two dragons, Zyre and Calliope. Occasionally, Eurydice, if they need a mage who specializes in healing. Other than that, Blaire is normally out of the lair, hunting.
