Ashamine

Ashamine landed on the edge of the village with his partner Kyro. They visit this village quite often so Ashamine can play with the hatchlings and support the shops. Kyro just comes along to come along, usually sticking to the side so he can be out of the way as Ashamine has his fun.
Ashamine walked closer to the center of the village and was immediately flocked by the hatchlings, all clambering over each other to get his attention. He smiled at them all and waved them down with his wings.
“One at a time one at a time, heh heh heh, i’ll get to you all” He said in a kind and caring voice.
The hatchlings slowly calm down and he smiles down at them all, making a small announcement for them.
“Now! What do all of you want to do?” He asked, spreading his wings for effect
The hatchlings all start yelling things but eventually land on Tag. He nodded and smiled at them, closing in his wings.
“Alright! I’ll give you ten seconds! One...two...three…” He started counting down as he watched them all.
As soon as he hit two they all bolted in all directions, trying to get away. After the ten seconds he swiftly caught two of the hatchlings, then he caught the rest in only a handful of minutes. The last one he caught he put on his head right under his crown.
“We have a winner boys and girls!” He proclaimed, striking a bit of a pose as he spreads his wings grandly.
The other hatchlings all look disappointed and say “Awwwww”. The dragonet on his head looks at the others proudly and a bit smugly, happy to have beaten the rest. He looked up at them and gently slid them into his hands and grins down at them.
“So, you want your prize?” As he said this the hatchling nods vigorously, their face brightening up immediately.
“Yea Mr Ash! I wan it!” Their tail wags happily as they reach up to him a bit with a wide smile on their face.
He nods and keeps smiling, walking towards one of the shops, saying proudly “Alright! Hold on! Everyone else follow me!”
All the hatchlings followed after him, including Kyro, who had just been watching from the sidelines. The store he approached was a candy store, and all the hatchlings looked excited as they went closer. He entered the store the looked around
“Take your pick!” He moved his head around so the hatchling can take their selection. They choose a rather expensive looking taffy, which he gladly pays for and hands to them. He takes the hatchling off of his head and handed them to Kyro
“Hold this real quick” He turned to the store finder and starts talking. All the hatchlings turn their attention to Kyro who quite literally doesn’t know what to do, so he gently puts down the dragonet and backed away a bit, but to his horror, they followed him, expecting him to do something. He looked from the dragonets to Ashamine to see he’s still talking to the store owner, then he kept backing away. Not wanting all this attention. Luckily for him not long after Ashamine came over and took the attention again
“Hey guys! I’m sorry to have to do this but could you maybe head home for a bit? I have a bit of stuff to do, alright?” He asked, crouching down to be closer to them.
They all look visibly sad and nod “Okay...bye bye mishter Ashy…” They all turn away and start trudging away, even the one who won the game looks sad. Ashimine looked a little upset that he made them sad and got up. He turned away and started attending each and every store one by one, funding them appropriately, all getting a “Thank you!” in return. After well over an hour he returns to the edge of the village, ready to leave. He turns to Kyro and tilts his head
“Ready to go Kyro?” He asks, smiling at him. He nods and turns, ready to go up and leave when a hatchling runs up and grabs Ashimine’s tail.
“Mishter Ashy! What dis for?” Ashimine turned and looked at the hatchling to see a little piece of taffy in their talon.
Ashimine grimaced a bit, wanting to leave before anyone caught him, then he shook his head and smiled at the hatchling
“It’s a gift for all of you, because I didn't want you all to feel left out” He explained, patting their little head.
They nod and grin, their tail wagging happily “Okee! Bye mishter Ashy!” He turned and ran off, presumably back home. Ashimine smiles and turns back to Kyro
“Okay, let’s go now” He says with a touch of finality, which got a nod in response from Kyro.
The pair took off and flew back home, calling it a successful day.
