Matcha is an old dragon with a long history. She remembers much of it, though chooses to focus primarily on the present and very recent history. She has never had a clutch of eggs, and has never particularly felt the pull to have hatchlings. Although, as many dragons and even herself have mentioned, there is always a first for everything. Matcha just doesn't think that will be any time soon. She is too focused on her life and how to better herself. Although that doesn't necessarily clash with having hatchlings, it is hard to gather herbs for tea when you have to take care of infants. On the few occasions she has needed to babysit, gathering tea has taken a backseat to making sure the hatchlings aren't eating poisonous plants and insects they find on the ground.

What doesn't kill her makes her stronger and she indeed is strong. An attack by a serthis force on her EchoFlower Clan left her little choice but to fight back. When saving her home prooved to be impossible, she followed the retreat with the rest of the clan and kept the back of the line safe. Her strength and ferocity in battle saved many lives that day and she will not hesitate to put her life on the line for those of her fellow dragons. During their homeless wander, she stayed watch and slept very little to keep her clan safe. This unusually warm and motherly instinct from an eggless dragon often leaves some wondering if she wouldn't make the perfect mother after-all.

Above all else, Matcha is a tea maker. She adores tea. All forms of tea. There are tried and true recipes in her books, and there are true disasters. She makes sure to remember all of them. Or, she tries to remember all of them. There have been some truly awful mixes in her history and often she can't remember if deadweed and sand creeper were a good combination, or a bad one. Only since entering the EchoFlower Clan has she started actually writing down her own attempts. This has resulted in far better outcomes far more times. She still likes to experiment with ingredients and will come out with just as many dud tea mixes as before simply for the sake of finding that one great outcome.

Tea making is her main hobby, while being a warrior is her actual job in the clan. She fights alongside the other dragons as needed and has had a hand in actually training newcomers and those heading to the clan's deity. She generally holds her own, although she tends to gather herbs between fights and weighs herself down with packs full of leaves, seeds, and berries. These, she brings back to the clan to experiment with. When she cures her herbs, she brews up small batches of tea and encourages her closest friends to try it as tea guinea pigs, so to speak. This happens to be nearly everyone's least favorite time of the day, as the vast majority of Matcha's home-blend teas are disasters. Every once in a while, there is a roaring success and someone insists that she write the combination down so she doesn't forget.

Matcha is a sweet dragon, although she has a strong sense of pride and honor. This sometimes makes her irrational in the case of being confronted. Her wildclaw nature doesn't let her step away from a challenge. In her personal hoard, she tends to collect herbs, plants, and shiny trinkets. Her den is intricate and colorfully decorated with art and crafts she has created herself. Other dragons might be confused at her interior decorating skills while she is proud of what she has made for herself.
