In many flights, those from elements foreign to the flight are often seen as inferior, an ethos thoroughly rejected by the Aurora Iceflight. For instance, when Renkyro appointed this gentle earth dragon to the position of Sentry Captain, this announcement was met with much jubilation from her fellow warriors.
Katalari thoroughly understands her strengths and weaknesses. With her flawless white coloration, she blends perfectly into the frozen environment. While hidden, she focuses her magic, transforming the Southern Icefield itself into a weapon. With a series of meticulously layered tremors, she causes a series of precise avalanches that easily overwhelm enemy Snappers and low-flying opponents. This exceedingly efficient use of earth magic to master her environment, coupled with her tactical prowess, made her the obvious choice for the day Sentry Captain.
Yet outside of battle, one would never peg her as the fighting type. Remarkably soft-spoken, her voice has an ethereal, lullaby-like quality. She is particularly fond of children, sometimes even substituting for Quirinius on occasion. She hopes to one day raise a clutch of dragonets herself but is ultimately uncertain that she's willing to give up her military career to do so.
