REAPER
OLD GOD > Jaded > Ancient > Happy **** - grandson
An ancient God, wager of wars and taker of lives.

- Among the first Gods, witness to the formation of the worlds
- The pursuits of a God of War are, at first, simple
- However, Reaper soon found that it is much, much more than war; war is much more than it seems
- War is death
- War is despair.
- War is to be alone.

Reaper does not remember his early days, or at least, he tries not to. His early life is a spatter of blood; the internal fire that drove him overpowering and unstoppable. Sending many to their ends, and others to live their lives haunted by what had come to pass. War forms the world, but Reaper soon learned that war is also capable of ripping the world apart.

Once, after many millennia of diving into battle, his bloodlust insatiable, he found a dragon he could not slay. A drake he could not kill. He loved her. Wholly and entirely, he was infatuated; her returned love just as complete, despite his war-torn past.

Together, they bore three children, a single clutch. For the briefest moment, Reaper was content outside of the bloodshed of battle. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, that peace was not to be. Where Reaper goes, the tide of battle follows, relentless and unforgiving.

The call of blood brought him to the nearby battlefield, and to this day, it is a decision he would be forced to forever regret. His love and his children, barely having cracked their eggshells, were set up on by the very tides of war Reaper once thought himself the king of.
None of the four were spared, for War does not care the age or creed of it's victims.
In turn, Reaper spared none of those responsible; for War does not know mercy, only rage.

In the decades after, carnage ripped much of the world apart. A God full of rage mourning the greatest loss he had ever known. The force of his grief fractured one-peaceful clans, levelled entire cities, and for a time shattered the faith of even his own followers. Even the most faithful shied away from their God.

Then, suddenly, it was as if he disappeared. Wars still raged, as they are want to do, even in the absence of a Gods will, but they were fewer, and paled in comparison to those of the past. To this day, many worship the God of War, sending prayer and leaving offerings, but very little is it truly acknowledged by the once-active God.

Stolen away to the cavern he once shared a family with, Reaper does hear the prayers of his devout, but very little does he venture into battle himself. Eons of grieving have been spent alone in the empty catacombs, vowing never to love again, and wondering what could have been.
