Pine is Darkwood’s herbalist- he has his own stall in the town, filled with every plant under the sun, carefully prepared and bottled for any number of uses. Pine has a near photographic memory, and a knack for growing things- even from a hatchling he was learning the medicinal properties of herbs.

A bit of a narcissist, Pine thinks very highly of himself and his talents, in a manner bordering on innocent arrogance. He’s not malicious, he just really, really loves himself. Confident in his appearance, Pine loves nothing more than to flirt with his customers, even if he isn’t particularly interested in them. He just finds it fun, and a boost to his already huge ego. Most of his clanmates let this behaviour slide, as he really is quite incredible at his job- there’s no one who can brew a herbal concoction like Pine can. In his time at Darkwood, he has treated a broad spectrum of injuries and conditions, and can whip up a poultice or potion in no time at all.

Not much seems to get under Pine’s skin, he’s generally pretty happy with his life and work, so doesn’t really involve himself in the everyday clan dramas. He makes a good income, which he loves to spend on shiny jewels or impressive outfits to make himself stand out. The more luxurious the apparel, the more Pine desires it. He spends hours each day grooming and preening himself, and for someone that works with soil and the plants of the forest daily, you’ll never see a speck of dirt on him.

Pine frequents the clan’s tavern, the Rose and Thorn, and loves to relax with an expensive bottle of wine after work. He can often be overheard boasting about his accomplishments, and has a tendency to embellish his stories significantly- a drizzle of rain becomes a thunderous storm, etc. His friends find this more amusing than anything, as Pine’s bragging never hurts anyone- and despite his overconfidence, he is a rather nice dragon at heart.
