"Once, it was only silence, blissful peace and eternal sleep. Once i drifted in soft darkness, had no worries, no pains, no knowledge of things beyond... And then I was woken into terrible agony and suffering unimaginable" An unfortunate test-subject of Syrela's resurrection powers, this poor fae turned out mostly well. It lacked memories of itself, and it was loyal. However, it has two major flaws: it can feel, and it has it's own mind. It's not big bother for the summoner, for this little coward wouldn't even dare consider going against her, but the poor zombie itself seems to be constantly in edge of mental breakdown or panic attack. And that is not ideal underling for anyone, much less a necromancer. Nicknamed 'Swampmouse' for it's greenish body and skittish nature, little dragon has little to no confidence or backbone. It is afraid of blood, other dragons, darkness, small spaces, spiders, scary trees, lightning, list goes on and on. It is also very aware that it should not be afraid of those things, but that does little to help their constant panic. It's common to spot it curled up in some corner, crying and trying to sleep to no avail. it's known fact zombies can't sleep after all. Rarely it can be seen doing few things that seem to calm it down: reading and making tea. It says these things give them odd feeling of familiarity and warmth. A memory of past life perhaps. Due to it's fragile mental health, Syrela has chosen to not make Swampmouse work much, if at all, preferring other, less feeling servants. It does still sometimes run some simple errands for the necromancer however, like cleaning, fetching ingredients and other minor tasks. Sometimes it's antlers are used as key storage too. Efficiency is important. Sometimes it has to take long breaks however, because of the magic at play. You see, the spell worked partly incorrectly, and as a result, sometimes it experiences days when it's whole body is in pain, as if it's burning from inside. During these days it can barely move, much less do anything productive. No-one is there to even comfort crying thing as it weeps in agony. All it can hope is for the magic to stop doing it's thing as soon as it is able to. These days are rare thankfully, only couple per month at most. |
