Much unlike her older brother Verdigris, Alouette is not a fan of long trips. She prefers to stay at home—one of the reasons why her move to the Syl Nadir was so difficult. She hadn’t wanted to leave her parents, but after the note delivered to her by Verdigris, how couldn’t she go? The clan was growing stronger and more capable every day, and some of the dragons had begun to encroach upon Beastclan territory. This, of course, caused quite a bit of tension between the clan and their neighbors, and who better to fix the problem than someone who loved familiars more than anything? Alouette had always had a way with them, and was put to work fixing things as soon as she’s moved into her new treehouse home.

She didn’t sleep for the first week; she missed her parents and the familiarity of her old clan. And living in a tree was... definitely not her style. She’d been spending the days either speaking with the Beastclan leaders or helping Verdigris tend to his bees, but while tired, she simply couldn’t fall asleep. At least, until the huge sphinx-like creature showed up.

She came from the trees in the dead of autumn, glimmering wings spread wide as she came to a stop before the tiny fae. She seemed to scrutinize Alouette for a few moments before offering a gentle nod of her head. “We’ve been divided for far too long,” she murmured in a voice that was both young and old, both scratchy and smooth, and not far from regal-sounding. From there, the two visited the Beastclans together. Negotiations were made, offers were accepted, and a tentative peace fell between the dragons and Beastclans. The serthis especially seemed inclined to work on an alliance, and Alouette would be lying if she said she didn’t find herself enjoying the serpents’ company the best.

From that day on, the sphinx went with Alouette back to her small treehouse home. There wasn’t much space for the both of them to squeeze in, but after the deal they’d struck with the Beastclans, Midnight had a job proposition for the fae. “Nothing much, just someone to take care of the familiars here and help keep peace with the Beastclans.” A larger treehouse would be made right away, along with accommodations for any familiars that Alouette wanted to keep with her.

Now, the rusty-winged fae works just as hard as ever trying to wrangle the clan’s familiars, and has grown even closer with the nearby Serthis, even going so far as to invite one into her home as an equal. Things are looking up for Alouette, and for the Syl Nadir as well.
