The jingling of bells echoes out in the glade all around you as a shimmering spiral darts about. She only stops for a few seconds at a time to decorate a tree or to throw some garlands around a dragon. Gifts are strewn about in the snow, the smell of cinnamon and gingerbread permeates the air and twinkling lights hang from branches. It's clear: the holidays are here and festivity is spreading through Sornieth.

The aptly-named Dasher is not exactly your typical dragon. In fact, she is hardly a dragon at all: instead, she is the embodiment of the dragon clan's joy, love and cheer during the harsh winter months. Most of the year, it's impossible to find her. She becomes an occasional flurry of snowflakes on the tips of the tallest pines, or a little wooden carving gifted to a hatchling. But during the winter, when you hear joyous laughter and the tingling of bells approaching, you know: Dasher's here, and the gifts are coming.
