Biography

____Aquamarine, or 'Marie' for short, spent as much time playing with Fiona's familiars as she possibly could when visiting the trading post, despite Lapis' very clear expression that Marie should stay by his side at all times. However, his anxiety of being around larger dragons subsided, and he found that Fiona was very trustworthy- often allowing Marie to stay for the entirety of his trips to the trading post or the marketplace. In her time spent with Fiona, she came to learn all about the familiars that kept her company. but it wasn't until well after Aquamarine had gotten fully grown before she found her ideal familiar- an apatite fisher, after finding it injured after some predator attack, she brought it home and nursed it back to health. Due to the loving care and understanding of that familiar (thanks to Fiona), the crystalline crane, eventually named 'Frosty', refused to leave Marie's side, even when it was brought back to its natural habitat in the Crystal pools.

____When Frosty perched on Aquamarine's tail instead of leaving, the midnight-colored guardian smiled sweetly at the crane, then watched the falls of the Crystal Pools, finally taking in the scenery. She found herself at a loss of words for its beauty. Then sun had begun to set, the golden light reflecting off the surface off the water and dancing in the crystals. She was in awe, coming to the realization that this was where the Arcane Flight lived. They saw this every day. This was what she wanted- to study and befriend all familiars and work with the incredible, shimmering crystals outside her room.

____After the clan moved... right after the clan moved, her father had an incident. He and the rest of the coliseum team were battling in the Ghostlight Ruins during Night of the Nocturne. Her father was hit by a powerful attack that nearly killed him, but instead changed him from a mirror to a nocturne. But alongside the change in his breed, his composure changed as well. Her father was no longer scared of everything and he came to embrace his new form. Shortly after, her mother would go and have her breed changed as well, in hopes of But it had her thinking... she didn't need to stay a guardian. if she was honest with herself, she always loved skydancers. The elegance in their movement, the sleekness of their bodies, the delicacy... nothing she felt a guardian would ever do justice. So she consulted with Marble, the cosmetics witch, to find what would work best for her. Once they had gotten the plans together, she showed off to her father with delight.

____It had admittedly taken longer than planned to fully transform Aquamarine, since she wasn't to only one in the clan with plans to change their genes. While waiting for her 'secondary gene', she connected with one of the trainers of the clan, another skydancer named Ayers. Much of his sense of humor reminded her of the jokes Lapis would tell her when she was a hatchling. They became fast friends, so they now share a room near the waterfall, when the sun sets, they often find themselves stopping what they're doing just to watch the sun illuminate the crystals that Marie has collected and left by the window.

____Marie now exchanges notes with Fiona whenever she gets the chance. Spending hours of her time talking and playing with the familiars, learning more and more everyday.
