Biography
↠ ↞
The hum of cicadas rings in your ears as you begin to approach the smoking green plumes erupting from the base of the hollowed tree. Inching closer, you realize the smoke has no scent and quickly dissipates into the warm summer air.
You hear something stir.
As though a volcano erupted, butterflies and lightning bugs scatter from the tree. The color green clouds your vision for a moment before a set of pale eyes appear from the fog. They seem blank yet glare into you with knowing.
A hissing sounds thrums as the cicadas grow louder.
You tumble backwards into a thick bramble, wincing at the thorns digging into your skin. Despite the pain, your adrenaline keeps you focused on the beast in front of you now covered in bark and buzzing insects.
A wraith
The color of a murky spring again clouds your vision while the eyes of the ghost become lost in the fog. Confusion overwhelms you, but within seconds the cloud is lifted. In front of you stands a tree humming with cicadas warmed by the golden sunlight shining from above.
Was it all a dream?
