Follower of the Old Ways
When a massive cache of frozen Banescale eggs was discovered, myths about the vicious war that waged between the children of the Flamecaller and the children of the Icewarden suddenly became hard fact. The resurfacing of a second ancient species once again threw Sornieth into disarray, and to avoid aggravating former grudges between the ice and fire flights, the eggs were distributed among the lands so that the hatchlings might avoid hereditary intolerance. This worked for the majority, but some, like Excindo, couldn't shake the millennia-old enmity. The young Banescale suffers with a condition known as Past Life Recurrence, believing that she is the reincarnation of a warrior from the old war. Vengeance courses through her veins, and she has declared it her divine mission to reignite the feud between Banescale and Gaoler. In the care of The Lastsparks, the fanatical Excindo receives daily regression therapy with the healers in the hope that her previous life can finally be laid to rest, leaving her to embrace her new one without burden or bias... |

To smote upon another race
My demonic flames of woe.
Our battalion of hate grows cold-
Colder than the Gaoler’s hearts.
Mine is full of fury and rage,
A lust for vengeance deep and bold,
To bring about the end of times
To those who seek a winter’s cage.
Begone you worthless, fuzzy beasts!
Your ignorance punishes this land.
They say I hold a Past Life’s grudge,
But they will never understand.
An expression I have come to like:
“The night is always darkest before the dawn.”
A fitting warning tried and true;
For the night is cold and dark and blue.
Dawn belongs to those with fire,
And with the dawn… I’ll come for you.
