2nd Generation Temporal Rifter

Allison ->Kali ->Shenlao

“Ha! Just try and keep up!” Shenlao shouted over his shoulder as he shot through yet another portal. His eyes glinting mischievously and his smile large as his Auburn hair flowed wildly in the wind.

“W-wait up, I’m not used to this!” Serena huffed in reply as she half sprinted half stumbled after her younger brother. Why was he so fast? Since when did he get used to being a human? She was never going to catch up to him at this rate. Quickly throwing herself through yet another portal in hopes of catching up she soon found herself suspended over a large crystal clear lake with a path of pure light holding them up in the air. Too consumed with questions to bother admiring their surroundings Serena chirped up and leaned over to rest her hands on her knees. By the family line, this new form was so weird to her “Since when did you find this place?” she questioned breathlessly as Shenlao’s crimson clothing ruffled in the wind.

“Since our last Interdimensional game.” he replied, a smug look on his face as he turned to face her “You know, Grandma was and still is a human right? If you ever want to meet her you’ll need to get used to this.” he chuckled, obviously referencing his older sibling’s inability to function without wings and on only two legs.

“Well at least I’m better at flying~” she snickered in turn, Shenlao’s face blushed in embarrassment as he smiled, and grumbled simultaneously. The crystallized lake below them glowed brilliantly and sparkles filled the surrounding air as the light intensified. The glowing of the crystal was encaptivating and the golden light danced around them as rainbows sparkled all about, filling the air with a sense of wonder, and hope.

“I really do hope we find her you know.” Shenlao sighed in a forlorn contentment.

“Yeah, me too, but we have to be careful. If we’re not then the organization will-”

“Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, can we just not mention them for once? Huh? Why do we always have to mention them? It’s not like we don’t know the dangers.”
