Biography
Discarded Soldier QUIRK(S): Abandoned by her creator when he was done with her, Challenger is bitter and trying to find new meaning while dealing with old scars - physical, mental, and emotional. "I loathe you, Ocean! your leaps and your chaos, My spirit finds them there; that bitter laugh Of the vanquished man, full of sobs and insults, I hear them in the vast laughter of the sea."

In the deepest parts of the ocean lay a primordial creature that had been created when the world was new. For eons it had slept, and then it stirred. Needing information on the world as it was after a long sleep, the creature reached out into the purest, darkest waters and fashioned a being to do its bidding. Challenger was formed of the lifesblood of the ocean, given light and energy by some of the luminescent denizens of the deep. Molded into a warrior, she was sent out to spy and report and then - after the creature learned what wonders were there to conquer and steal - to retrieve what her master wanted... no matter what she had to do to get it. Eventually the leviathan grew greedy. On one mission, Challenger's dark creator had sent her into the lightning domain to steal something from the Stormcatcher. What hubris prompted it to challenge a god is unknown, but it was the bogsneak who was to pay. Bellowing a challenge, the Stormcatcher threw violent energies at the dragon and cast her out of his territory. Challenger was utterly stunned, and very damaged, by the attack. But the worst part was when she attempted to drag herself back into the ocean to heal... her body crackled and caused her to cry out in pain. The electricity that had been used against her had apparently become a part of her body, and she could no longer go back into the waters that birthed her. Realizing that his creation was no longer of use, the leviathan wrote her off and went back to his lair to create another. Finding herself so cast off by the one thing she had always counted on, damaged in so many ways, and utterly without a new direction, Challenger was lost. But the lost always find their way to Chaotic Daydreams. And - while she cannot yet enter the water again - she has a safe haven on the landward side of the lair and many, many new friends and family to help her recover and find a new meaning.
