Biography
“Voodoo 1, Viper's on station. Your journey ends here, Pilot."
Viper
Viper is a member of the Apex Predators and a supporting antagonist in Titanfall 2. He dons a helmet similar to that of a Pulse Blade pilot, and utilises a heavily modified Northstar chassis, the spoils of a long and successful career as a mercenary. Upon defeating Viper, the achievement Defanged is awarded.
Viper's only known role in the Battle of Typhon would be protecting and escorting the Ark to the IMC airfield housing the transport vessel IMS Draconis. He would later be seen, along with Slone, in the hangar of the ship prior to its emergency takeoff.
Viper would then take to the skies in his Titan, showing off an impressive array of upgrades allowing for vastly increased flight time and better missile tracking while fighting against squadrons of Militia Crows. Ultimately, he would fire a volley of missiles at the Widow housing Jack Cooper and BT-7274, causing them to fall through the skies and land on the dropship piloted by Barker.
Viper would continue to battle against the Militia's air forces, eventually making his way to IMS Malta in order to stop BT and Jack reaching the Draconis. The two Pilots would engage in a fierce battle on the outer hull of the battleship, with Jack ultimately winning and critically damaging Viper's Titan. With the two believing Viper dead, they would proceed to resume their attempt to board the Draconis, only for Viper to return and push them off the ship and into the sky. They would land aboard the hull of the Draconis and engage in a frantic melee. BT would tackle Viper, who would in turn activate his thrusters and plow BT back into the ground. Viper would then rip off BT's left arm, but have his own hatch shot off by the Vanguard. The exposed Viper would then be killed by Cooper with small arms fire.
“The skies belong to me. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.”
After the Battle of Typhon
Viper discovers more of Spider’s past, discovering that she had been captured, as well as other pilots, by a Ex-Milita. To be sold to the IMC as mercenaries, but to also find out information to ruin both sides of the war. The Milita would get wind of this as well and attempt a “Search and Rescue” to get one of their pilots back, but to o also see if they could learn anything.
Viper would later find Spider, injured, with a heavily damaged Monarch chassis of JD in the mechanic shop he works at. The two trying to fix themselves after a recent battle. Viper would contact Jack Cooper, the two having become friends due to Jack not knowing of Viper’s history as a pilot due to him using his real name.
The two would be assisted by the militia, in return they were “under arrest” and watched before being judged if the two could assist the militia cause now that Spider was no longer being controlled. Both ex predators would find moles in the Milita, weapon stashes going missing and Viper would redone his armor and deal with the few causing it as Spider watched out for him.
Jack would show his worry at finding out Viper is alive but Spider would tell him to not to worry. Viper is dead, she had looked for him after Typhon and that the Milita pilot had proved his worth. That the ex predator both would rather be brought down in battle by a skilled opponent then to anything else. Cooper would joke that the militia may watch her more right now, although she was accounted for the night it was discovered, but if she did help, he thanks her.
Time would pass and Spider would regain all her memories and be able to assist the militia in the war. A siren would alert to a battle and the three would find out that Blisk was there. Cooper and Spider would part leaving Viper behind before he finds an old Northstar and quickly hurries to the fight.
Most of the Milita in the heat of it Viper would find the stolen data and retrieve it from an IMC unit before being shot at and retreat towards the militia units, Blisk having been killed by Cooper and Spider, as well as most of the IMC forces, the rest run. Viper would reveal himself with the data to the Militia before passing out due to blood loss from his wounds.
He would awake later in a hospital with Spider by his side, asleep in the chair as she held one of his hands before awaking to the door opening. Commander- now General- Sarah Briggs would enter with Jack Cooper, the both thanking the ex-predators for their assistance while also offering a permanent job for both pilots to work with the militia. The two would accept and reforge their relationship in time.

Viper would actually survive his encounter with the Militia pilot and Titan and would go into hiding. Forgoing his skills as a pilot as well as his signature suit he would reside in Angle City as a mechanic using his name. Spider, a fellow Apex Predator as well as his Significant other, would find him here as she takes up bounties having not been on the Mission of Typhon, instead dealing with her own issues. She would confront the Ex-Predator, asking why he faked his death tand hid instead of telling her he was alive. She would part on bitter terms to do her bounties having accepted that their relationship is no more. JD, Spider’s Titan, in control of a Specter unit would talk to Viper stating that his choice to end their relationship was a bad idea, that he would be a good partner even if the Ex-pilot doesn’t believe it. He would soon leave, leaving a slip of paper for Viper to find out more about his ex. |
