Exaltation within many dragon clans is an act of high honor, a service to the deities themselves something few could only dream of. Ketchup was originally trained to become a servant of the Plaguebringer, but he wasn't very fond of the idea. In fact, he was terrified of it. Leaving home, fighting wars, and the Plaguebringer? He'd heard rumors of the Wyrmwound, and there was no way he was getting near that. He fled from his old clan, and upon finding his weary way here he pretended to be a wandering blacksmith and asked if he could stay a bit. Everyone could instantly see that he had no clue what was what when it came to metals, but he's been allowed to stay anyways.
