An injured tundra stood in the dim clearing, distressing over something. They gave off an odd aura, but the few passersby dismissed it as late-night exhaustion and continued on their way. The sun had set hours ago, the clearing only lit by eerie blue lanterns. Their flames flickered weakly, an unusual occurrence, as the fuel source was thought to be everlasting. Regardless, it wasn't the busiest hour for this lot anyway. The tundra heaved a shaky sigh, obviously not in the best condition. No one was around for this moment. They leaned back against a dying pine tree. Something stirred in the shadows. A few birds took off as two wildclaws emerged from the undergrowth, the couple arguing on where to go next.
