Amber lived a nomadic lifestyle from a young age. After his unwilling betrothal to a high ranking male in his clan in the Viridian Labyrinth, he ran away in rebellion, wanting to forge his own path. Along his travels he learned many useful skills for survival, such as hunting, fishing and even thievery. See, he had a talent for remaining undetected, and nine times out of ten would escape unnoticed with his loot... the rare times he got caught, however, were when he used his honeyed words and charm to ferret his way out of being roughed up or worse.

It was during one of these failed attempts at stealing from someone, that he met Glade. She could easily have snapped him in two, but she spared him in exchange for his protection from any other hopeful thieves or sneaky attackers along her travels- claiming she’d been trying to work on her “violent tendencies”, and this was the next best thing to killing him. He accepted this strange proposal, and the two proceeded to travel together for a long time. Neither dragon expected to become such fast friends along the way... or lovers, for that matter.

When Glade suggested they settle down and form a clan, Amber was initially opposed, as he wasn’t fond of staying in one place for too long. However, after begrudgingly agreeing for Glade’s sake, he found that his times with Clan Ildaite were genuinely lovely, and he hopes to remain with his clan for the rest of his life.
