Biography
Arthfael
To believe in the light, is to believe in a lie.
Fallen King; Leader of the Disgraced
To believe in the light, is to believe in a lie.
Fallen King; Leader of the Disgraced
Arthfael was once the king of a grand kingdom - he was the light of his people's hearts, the fire in their eyes. He alone, with wings of pale gold, led his land to great success. He led them through war, poverty, and famine. He was their sword and shield, bright and shining; Arthfael was the King of the Sun itself, leading a glorious nation to the promised land. To salvation.
At least, that had been the plan. But things don't always work out as planned, as Arthfael had learned.
Another kingdom, one known for its military might, declared war against Arthfael's kingdom. Their army was soon decimated, and in a desperate bid to save his people, Arthfael flew to a place in the Plague lands, deep in the Scarred Wasteland where the pestilence came packed in harsh, unforgiving ice and sleet. There, he found a machine, it's sturdy, glass skin molded into the shape of a sleek, pale mirror.
A war construct, from a time long forgotten. Arthfael spent hours digging through the ice, until he was finally able to wake the ancient creature of metal and gears.
With the war construct on his side, the king returned to his land, and he rained a dark, terrible vengeance down upon the opposing army. He slaughtered the soldiers, he sent that queen running with her tail between her legs.
However, upon returning to his home, he found that the crown no longer belonged to him. In his absence, in the time during which he led his people into battle, his traitorous brother had taken the throne. Nijah had stolen his world from beneath him, and banished Arthfael for waking one of the "forbidden" war constructs.
And so, in the span of a single night, just as he was sure he'd secured his kingdom and made his people safe, Arthfael lost everything. It was just him and his construct, whom he had named Kaasvel.
And now, long after his kingdom - and his treacherous brother along with it - had died, the imperial finds himself leading a new group. They weren't a kingdom, but they were his people now. Among them, he is their own personal light, a beacon of hope in the shadows. Outside of the disgraced, Arthfael is treated without respect, though no one openly shows their disdain with him. He is never seen without Kaasvel, and can be found conversing with Ammit and Lucius.
- Openly disrespecting Arthfael will surely end in death, as Kaasvel is extremely protective of his master
- He is treated as the leader of the disgraced, and is often sought out to help fix problems and settle disputes
- If overwhelmed or excited, golden flowers tend to spring up at his feet
- Pansexual, but Kaasvel never leaves....
