Panic. White-hot, blinding panic. Why? Why is he panicking? Even he doesn't know. All he knows is that he's afraid. He's trembling. He's cold, but he's sweating. There's a ringing in his ears, drowning out the silence. If only he could hear something, anything...
Suddenly, a note is struck, hanging in the air before dissipating. Another note. The ringing in his ears is subsiding. He follows the harp's music until he finds her. She's playing a song for him. She knows he's afraid, knows because she's been there, knows that the music helps. The ringing fades to nothing, his trembles cease, his heartbeat slows. He curls up at her feet, now exhausted, falling asleep to the lullaby as it chases his panic away.
