Biography

(Hatched out of a gift egg from Galore.)

Grundmire
Long ago, Banescales were nearly brought to extinction from hubris and greed. However, some eggs survived the war, laying dormant for many eons. With the collapse of the Blacksand Annex, the seals were broken, and the next of this Ancient generation took flight. The last song of their ancestors rang loud in their memories, in the hope that past mistakes would not be repeated. Any unhatched eggs were given to Galore, which he in turn gifted to worthy dragon Clans wishing to raise and learn about these long-forgotten species.

Grundmire came to Clan Pokéfan's possession as one of these previously buried Banescale eggs. He and Cresscali apparently came from the same Earth clan, or so their instincts tell them. He's the quieter of the mated pair, often reserved to the point you can't tell he's upset unless he suddenly lashes out with his tail and claws. This is honestly very rare, as he's normally calm to the point of stoicism. It generally takes a fair bit of patient and gentle nudging from Cheever to get him to open up about his problems, even if he's wounded.

Cheever the Chillriver Bucktooth
Cheever was always an open-minded Beaver, trying new ways to make nets and generally being a minor inventor. He pioneered several important advancements for his Clan, and yet he didn't feel much at home with his own kind. He kept to solitude unless he was sharing his latest efforts or was specifically sought out by others. That changed when a call was sent for Beastclan Ambassadors to dragonkind. Curious, he accepted the offer and traveled to the Southern Icefield.

After visiting several Lairs, Cheever eventually settled permanently with Clan Pokéfan. He arrived at the same time Grundmire was hatching, and he was enchanted by the strange dragon. They bonded together as the Banescale grew, and they help each other out of their shells when it comes to interacting with others. Sometimes you can see them working on fishnets together.
