The desert stretches ahead of you, the sand black and gold, burning your feet. You've been traveling for so long now, and if feels that your journey is about to end, even though your goal is nowhere in sight.
You find it hard to focus, the heat so intense that it overwhelms your senses. You note that the sun has started to set, washing the sky with dusty pinks, reds and purples. It becomes a little cooler at night, you recall, maybe you can rest then.
You feel disappointed as the sky brightens, was the sun going backwards just to spite you? But no. It is something else.
An ageless being towers above you, it's gaze relentless as the desert sun. Halos of light surround it, bands of gold and and dusty cloth adorn it's form. The heatwaves from the speckled sand and the setting sun cause it's form to flicker like a mirage.
It's wings are spread slightly, an imposing figure of awe. Many have trembled under it's visage.
