The Antiquarian

An eccentric who devoted himself to the collection of oddities. Covetous and possessive, his hoard is guarded by all manner of abominations and curses. Homonculi made of precious metals and smoke patrol his lair, animated by his own blood. Should anyone but him lay hands on these antiquities, they would slowly turn to stone, becoming part of the trove for all eternity.

For his greed, a jealous witch cursed his sight- should he ever again look upon any precious thing, his eyes would be smote and he would crumble into dust. And so he hides his gaze- turning his beloved trifles over and over in his hands, tasting and taking in their scent. For what proud wyrm could ever bear part with a single piece?







-resident longboy, winding through his labyrinth like a tapeworm. gross.
-his bite is extremely toxic, like being injected with heavy metals. fortunately, he cannot strike very accurately, being blind and all.
-who cursed him, you might ask? probably Teivaal when she wanted to "borrow" one of his antiques for Oracle Things™. that wasn't really a mystery that needed solving but boy if it didn't just get solved
-kind of wants to rent Mairax for security but feels like it would be inappropriate to ask. good instinct.
