Kindred always knew that he was special but nobody really knew why. He was ripped from his birthplace and sold in the black market to the highest bidder, he didn't even remember where he came from or what his parents were like. One day, a courier came to visit the lair searching for a dragon, a special one. He studied everydragon in the lair, until his eyes landed on Kindred and stopped. When they were alone, he told Kindred he had been sent by a foreign king to find his long lost son, and that son was him, the resemblance was unmistakable. This made Kindred a prince! He was honored to hold that position and felt his breast swell with pride and hope. His father was searching for him and wanted him to come home! He had always felt abandoned but now he had purpose, a real family! The courier helped him pack up his things and prepare for the long journey. Aleirian said goodbye to his former clanmates. They wished him well. This trip would be everything he had ever dreamed of!

When Kindred arrived at his new lair, he was greeted by some large dragons and they ushered him into the king’s chambers. Aleirian did not have long to meet with his father, as his father was dying and was passing the noble throne to him. Kindred was incredibly sad that his joy of having a family had been fading away so quickly. The members of this kingdom eyed him with suspicion when they met each other. He was now going to have to rule here and he was nervous at the prospect but he hoped the new clan would help him ease into this prized role as prince.

But that wasn't the case. There was a riot, and he didn't know how to deal with this. He wasn't taught anything like this. He got attacked several times, and only the loyal guards of his father cared about his survival. Many members of the clan simply left. Others hid. Kindred soon found out that there was nothing to rule anymore.

With the advice of the courier he took another journey into safety. He didn't want to go back into his old clan, to show off that he had failed and his hopes of a family unison were shattered. He wanted to start off new. This was when he met Bron and his coalings, granting him acceptance and a loving clan, where everyone could pursue the work in which he or she was best in. He soon felt he finally arrived - at home.
