Riptide grew up in a rough and tumble clan, but he never wanted to get physical. For all his large size and fearsome coloring, he is a very gentle soul. Courtesy is his watchword and manners are something he holds to tightly.

Unlike many dragons who are very informal, Riptide holds himself to a very high standard. He holds his lair mates to standards as well, but they are adjusted for the mental and emotional abilities of each one. The guardian knows that "social norms" cannot be forced on some because it is distressing to them.

However, Riptide is fully invested in the idea that each can find their own form of social niceties with which to interact with others. And, should they all take the time to learn each other's signals and rituals, the lair would be a much more peaceful place.
