Aurilius has been alone for a long time. It didn't really bother him until lately, when most of the Clan paired up. Instead of wallowing about it, he decided he'd spend more time on his work. And that's what he did.

Aurilius is the Clan's cook, of sorts. He cleans the kills Shadowsinger brings back from her hunts. He preserves what needs preserving, inventories everything and keeps them away. He rations out the food and makes sure every dragon gets the meals they prefer, in appropriate portions. A lot of the time, he has to make sure some of the dragons *cough* Gabriel *cough* Stormwing *cough* Cecily *cough* actually have their meals at appropriate hours and not, say, midnight.

When Aurilius first saw Sapphira, he fell hard. At the time, he only knew that she and Empire were friends and that she was just visiting. Aurilius was just about to approach Gabriel for permission to court her, as was needed since she was from a different Clan, when she joined the Ancient Moon Clan herself.

This only strengthened Aurilius' resolve.

That is, until Seafarer, from the Sacred Tide Clan decided to switch over to theirs. Even a blind dragon could see the way Sapphira looked at Seafarer. And Aurilius had to admit that the other Imperial was attractive. Sapphira and Seafarer would make a good couple. Aurilius knew he was a plain-looking dragon. He gave up that fight easily.

Aurilius couldn't help but give Sapphira some extra snacks in her meals though, and he even gave some tidbits to Seafarer as well.

To say Aurilius was surprised when they both came to him with their proposition is a gross understatement. He was speechless for a full ten minutes. How could it be that anyone wanted to be in a relationship with him? Let alone the both of them? He's not going to question it, however, just get used to being loved by not one, but two other dragons.
