Elm has been known to let the branches overtake him, sitting still in the old tree climbing its way towards the sky, right next to the temple entrance. He listens, always, huddled in the branches he grew from. He knows his purpose, grown to protect, and he will fulfill it, even if it shatters his heart to know he is no longer part of the pair he once was.
