Freyr was originally a ship stowaway as a hatchling, but he was discovered and adopted by the crew. Most of his early life was spent out on the open seas. He eventually became a cartographer - to help map the lesser known lands of Sornieth. He is intelligent and resourceful. Instead of fighting, he relies on his wit and negotiation skills to escape trouble and get what he needs. While he is a part of the clan, he is often away for work and is only home on vacation. He makes sure to drop off any updated maps for their navigator, Tehuante.

With his old crew mates, Freyr has the affectionate nickname of "Stormie." He is also on friendly terms with most pirates and negotiates his way out of trouble.
