When a hatchling is misbehaving, or when full-fledged dragons are having a laugh with each other, sometimes they treat each other to threats of 'throwing you to the Big Bad Wolf'. Not a literal wolf, of course - what dragon fears a wolf? What is worth fearing is Crenshaw, the massive, furious Ridgeback who constantly toes the line of psychopathic tendencies.

Crenshaw has made it this far without killing any of his clanmates, but how he's lasted so long is considered by most to be nothing short of a miracle. His short fuse and violent nature almost got him kicked out of Butternut's lair, but she saw value in him. The Ridgeback now lives in the clan's treasure horde, furiously defending it as a perfect excuse to rip intruders to shreds.

Treasure retrieval is left almost entirely to Honeydew. It seems like only she can out-intimidate the Big Bad Wolf, though as of late another Ridgeback - one in a red hood - seems to have been able to get the better of him.
