GLOOM YOUNG GOD > Quiet > Loving > It's On Us - AJR A young God that has yet to find his purpose~ |
|
- New to the world, since the moment he opened his eyes Gloom has searched for purpose - Loves to help others, and tends to put his safety second to everyone else - Over time, he felt compelled, drawn deep into an ancient forest - Coming across a crumbling temple, he entered carefully, barely disturbing the dust under his talons - Once inside, he found himself face to face with another God, one much older than himself... |
Faced with the ancient before him, Gloom carefully brushed the dust from the face, and then the shoulders, until eventually none remained. Not once did the God before him move, nor speak. Roaming the temple, Gloom read ancient texts of the God Taro; Careful not to disturb ancient offerings long since abandoned, before returning to the slumbering God. After a short time lost in thought, he settled down in front of the Ancient dragon before him. Tenderly, Gloom spoke to Taro; for many days and nights he told stories of his travels, spoke of those he had helped, those who had helped him, and the kindness he had seen and experienced. At some point- though Gloom didn't notice, as lost as he was in his storytelling- Taro slowly opened his eyes. For a while, he didn't move or speak, just listened. The Ancient God, much to his surprise, found himself enraptured by the stories the younger dragon told. Finally, as Gloom paused to brush a stray leaf from his tail, Taro spoke. "It has been a long time since anyone has stepped foot here". The sudden words spooked Gloom, and he jumped back, falling over himself into a heap on the stone floor. As he scrambled to his feet, he stared into the glowing eyes of the Old God in awe, too taken aback to reply. Amused by the reaction of the other dragon, Taro shifted to curl his tail around his front talons and beckoned the younger God closer, "You have told me your stories, I think perhaps it's about time I tell you mine". Gloom shuffled closer to Taro, settling excitedly into a crouch and giving his full attention to the green scaled God; it had been a long time since Taro had spoken to another, his voice gruff and hoarse from lack of use, but still Gloom listened as he regaled stories of ancient wars and dragon clans long since lost to time. For the first time in eons, Taro was no longer alone, and after more time Spent with Gloom, it seemed he may never have to spend his eternal life alone again... |
