Taftaqir is a fiery Banescale. Even if he cant control fire as other fire members of the clan, he is proud of his fire heritage and uses his Ice magic with the same passion and determination that the Flamecaller puts in when she opens the crust of Sornieth.

Adopted as an egg by one of the guards, was nested along the dragoness own clutch of eggs. Silent expectation filled the lair as no one knew what could possibly hatch from the bizarre egg, and when finally the creature was born it took a few moments for the clan members to realize it was another kind of dragon.

Although called "the one who lacks" by its lack of arms and hands, it is expected to grow along its adoptive brothers and learn the ways of the clan as any other dragon born within the lair.


But the song of lamentations is still echoing throughout its frozen, hurtful heart... The tale of a last battle, and his existence a fragment of the silent ruins left by the war. its physical heritage is from those massacred, but his eyes are those of the perpetrators.

Shall he desire fiery revenge, sorrowful peace, or cold justice, is a question that put his mind into unease.

As he learnt his adoptive family was not only the dragoness who hatched him, but every member of the clan, he developed the usual de-attachment for personal relations and lawful loyalty to the clan of the Hawkeyes.

However, as he grew in strength, also the sorrowful song grew stronger in power, distracting him of his usual duties and training, behavior that made the Mudaribd cancel a training session in order to assess his worries.

Waiting for relevant members of the core to reunite, Sadiq perceived the unconscious singing of the increasingly nervous Taftaqir, and moving closer to him, she pat his shoulder in the same comforting approach that Shaeila could have used. Taftaqir didn't know to respond to that at first, but felt a deep trust and thankfulness that grew into adoration as Sadiq started to murmur him the melody of his song.

Both closed their eyes, foreheads touching one-another, silently murmuring Taftaqir's song, and as arcane, ice and fire magic swirled between them, he felt the ice in his core break, the flame of his soul melt the painful memories that ran as tears thorough his eyes, and finally, he felt his own fiery self take a stand inside his heart, the ice shard of the magic that contaminated his core hurting him no more.

In that fraternal hug he became able to release the storm of feelings that imprisoned his heart, and won the confidence needed to truly start empowering himself, to truly start being free of the Ice imprisonment.
