"Nashira made herself known from the beginning. She had no intentions of quietly passing through town like so many oracles and seers and soothsayers that came before her. She was not here to make her coin and move on. She was here to make a name for herself.

The others, who had lived here for many years, thought nothing of it. There had been challengers in the past. Dragons who believed themselves strong or worthy of claiming ownership of the land beneath their claws. But all who planned to take it by force, found themselves at the mercy of their leader, Pyre. And their little rebellion was cut short when they begged for their life with his teeth at their neck.

But she was clever. She proved herself, not with displays of strength but intelligence. She showed an aptitude for numbers and strategy, a talent for things to which their current leader had none. She laid her cards on the table and waited. Eventually, their leader came to her.

Words were spoken and pact was formed. Once the lone leader of the clan, Pyre had finally found his equal in Nashira. While the members of the clan were hesitant at first and wary of her, in the following years what doubts they had were vanquished."
