Maybe someday mad scientists will stop trying to power unearthly creations with lightning... maybe. The dragon who accidentally created Magmarctica was attempting to actually make an appliance that could keep hot and cold things in the same compact pantry. Unfortuately, he was trying to create said appliance from two living elementals and dumped waaay too much electricity into it.

The whole thing, of course, blew up in his face. From the wreckage stepped a dragon who looked as if fire and ice were swirling within it. Lightning colored eyes stared from its face as its expression shifted back and forth between two separate entities. Magmarctica completely destroyed their creator's lab and flew off into the night.

It took some time for the two elemental creatures to come to a working agreement on how to utilize their new body... at least until they could find a way to become separated. But they found they could still use their powers and both could master the other's element as well when filtered through the dragon flesh they inhabited.

Magmarctica is slowly, as they become more integrated, starting to have a more cohesive personality. But there are still many times when one or the other dominates. They are hoping to find a lair that can deal with their fractured mind and help them heal into a working being.
