Biography
Haille's big little brother.
Found among the sands of the shifting expanse as a hatchling, Haille took him in to shelter him from the worsening storm. The endless lightning strikes hid her from the mages tracking her and the lost star easily enough, but no doubt would kill the lost hatchling—so they hid together in a small nook.
The hatchling was barely old enough to speak but didn’t have a name, and Haille wasn’t much of a conversation partner. Her heart softened, and while stuck inside she did her best to teach the little one how to write at least. One of the first things tackled was specifically why he couldn’t go outside—it clearly hurt him already, missing his foreclaws, she didn’t want the storm to harm the young one again.
Unfortunately it didn’t quite get through at first. But the name Storme stuck.
The brutal weather went away eventually, and without a family for Storme to be returned to—and Haille’s hesitance to go near any tracker for hire willingly—she started calling him her little brother, and together they travelled Sornieth.
Then they figured out Storme wasn’t a nocturne but actually a banescale. No wonder he grew so huge so fast.
