Mayura (Sanskrit: मयूर Mayūra) is a Sanskrit word for peacock

MYTHOLOGY
*The legend states that the Mayura was created from the feathers of Garuda, another semi-divine mythical birds of Hindu mythology. Garuda is believed to be a vahana (conveyance) of Vishnu, one of the Trimurti. In images of the mayura as a mythical bird, it is depicted as killing a snake, which according to a number of Hindu scriptures, is a symbol of cycle of time.

*Mayura is the clan Historian and Librarian. Collector of scrolls and ancient relics along with her husband. She is also quite talkative and out spoken on many subjects. She believes that in order to make a good argument, one must first study and know the subject. Always enthusiastic to learn and excel at new things. Many consider her a "know it all" but though she truly knows alot, she like her husband, believes there is always more to learn.
