Maelstrom

Consumed with animus, she harbors an overflowing grudge against the Icewarden's people. She despises her Water element, seeing it as nothing more than a blight that maligns her--an unwelcome consequence of the Banescale's failure. Adamant on learning from her elder's mistakes, Maelstrom nevertheless desires to restart the war which resulted in the extermination of her forebears--though, this time with a different outcome.

Her enmity and pride demand she repay the legions of Ice in full, and she seeks out likeminded Banescale with which to form an army. She takes keen interest in the long-forgotten crafts her ancestors treasured. Her obsessive dedication has lead to the recovery of centuries-old metalworking techniques, and she dons self-made armor with vindictive satisfaction: the Icewarden failed to destroy her kind's ways. She seeks to eventually spread the lost knowledge throughout the surviving Banescale population.

Currently, however, she hoards viciously this ancient knowledge, distrustful of outsiders' intentions. Only those close to her are trained in the art of Banescale metalworking.

Maelstrom views Ice-aligned Banescale with a mixture of pity, fury, and disgust, using their existence to stoke the flames of her burning hatred.
